The island of Mykonos is noted for its whitewashed homes with blue (and sometimes red) trim.
All the back street are done in the same color scheme, white with blue (or red) trim.
Most of the streets are very narrow and you have to be careful of motor scooters.
There are many shops in Mykonos and we made a stop at “The Loom”. When we were in Athens we bought a small rug in a shop by the same name. Both stores are owned by brothers.
Mykonos is also noted for its windmills. As we walked up a street (steps) to this windmill we were greeted by a woman who explained this was their family windmill and they had owned it for generations.
More windmills.
A view from the hill.
